Funeral services for Adeline Rabenberg of Morris will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Morris, MN. Reverend Arthur Montgomery will be officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Adeline Mae Rusche, daughter of Ernest and Dena Strommen (Stroman) Rusche, was born May 2, 1915 in Bancroft, South Dakota, where she grew up and began her schooling. Adeline graduated from Bancroft High School in 1934. On July 3, 1936, she was united in marriage to Theodore Rabenberg in Bancroft, South Dakota. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Bancroft until 1959, when they moved to Morris. Theodore died on April 18, 1990 and Adeline has continued to make her home in Morris since that time.
Adeline was a member of First Lutheran Church in Morris, where she was active with the many organizations and also made the baptismal towels. Adeline was also a member of the Morris Literary Club, The League of Women Voters and numerous civic and religious organizations. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and playing dominoes. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter, Abigail.
Adeline died on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, having lived to reach the age of 95 years.
She is survived by one daughter: Connie Buschette and Paul Tongen of Perham; one grandson: Brad and Karen Buschette of River Falls, WI; one great-granddaughter: Abigail Buschette of River Falls, WI; one brother: Alvin (Jonie) Rusche of Marionville, MO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son: Curtis; her parents; one brother: Leonard and one sister: Leona.
Abigail Buschette will serve as Urnbearer for the service. Honorary Urnbearers are all who called Adeline Friend. Deb Mahoney will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
