Agnes Boehmer

Agnes Margaret Fergen, daughter of Henry and Helen (Weber) Fergen, was born May 29, 1930 on the family farm in Davidson County, South Dakota. She attended St. Peter and Paul Parochial Grade School in Dimock South Dakota and high school in Ethan, South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Oliver Boehmer on November 22, 1950 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dimock, South Dakota. Besides being a devoted wife and mother, she worked at the Morris Motel and at the Morris Grade School and the Morris Junior High School in the cafeteria. She also worked for 22 years at the Villa of St. Francis. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Assumption Catholic Church Altar Society. She loved to square dance and listen to polka music. Agnes and Oliver celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary 1 A½ days before she died.

Agnes died on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Glen Oaks Nursing Home in New London, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 77 years.

She is survived by her husband: Oliver Boehmer of Willmar; three sons: Allan (Marlene) Boehmer of St. Joseph, Robert (Beverly) of Olathe, KS and Patrick (Samantha) Boehmer of Willmar; eleven grandchildren: Stacie (Mike) Rylace, Jeffrey Boehmer, Brian (Karie) Boehmer, Brad Boehmer, Jamie Boehmer, Lindsey Boehmer, Stephanie Miller, Matthew Miller, Caine Hedrick, Kimberly Hedrick and Julie Stubblefield; two great-grandchildren: Sadie and Zoe Rylance; two sisters: Mary Ann Boyd of Sioux Falls, SD and Helen Schelske of Parkston, SD; four brothers: Jim (Carol) Fergen of Parkston, SD, Joe (Joan) Fergen of Mitchell, SD, Henry (Carol) Fergen of Mitchell, SD and Don (Gladys) Fergen of Dimock, SD and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: Chad; her parents; one brother: Leonard Fergen and one sister: Adella Laber.

Pallbearers for the service are: Jeffrey Boehmer, Brian Boehmer, Brad Boehmer, Jamie Boehmer, Mike Rylance and Caine Hedrick. Honorary pallbearers are: Stacie Rylance, Lindsey Boehmer, Karie Boehmer, Hanna Uhren, Kimberly Hedrick, Julie Stubblefied, Stephanie Miller and Matthew Miller. Deb Mahoney will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
