Andrew Oscar Wickstom, son of Oscar and Annie (Reints) Wickstrom, was born August 31, 1934 in Morris, Minnesota, where he grew up and began his schooling at School District #12. He later graduated from Morris High School. Following his schooling, he worked for Superior Minndak Trucking in Pelican Rapids, Eystad Trucking in Donnelly and Spoklie Trucking in Antilope, Montana. In 1977, he was united in marriage to Donna Ann Anderson at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Starbuck, MN. Donna died on May 22, 1997. Andy received his baptism on August 7, 2008 at the Courage Cottage in Morris by Reverend Pat Franey and Reverend Tom Fangmeier.
Andy enjoyed hunting, camping, canoeing, fishing and reading. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
Andrew died on August 16, 2008 at the Courage Cottage in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 73 years.
He is survived by his fiancé: Joanne Mithun of Morris; five children: Charles Wickstrom of Williston, ND, Tammy (Rob) Huft of Bismarck, ND, Tim Wickstrom of Plentywood, MT, Rebecca (Rodger) Fenster of Bismarck, ND and Carrie Wickstrom of Meza, AZ; four grandchildren: Joshua Fenster, Nichole Fenster, Kennedy Fenster and Sara Huft; three step-children: Dolores (Tony) Reuter, Jack Hull and Daniel Hull; two sisters: Betty Anderson of Cyrus and Shirley (Richard) Reynolds of Morris; three nieces: Denise Reynolds, Diane Miller and Vicky Logan and extended family: Tony Mithun, Carter Mithun, Barb Jenson, Ashley Mithun, Tyler Mithun, Shawn Mithun, Mark and Terry Mithun and Caio, Kendra, Kiera and Emma Mithun. He was preceded in death by his wife: Donna; his parents and infant brother Wickstrom.
Honorary urn bearers are all who called Andy friend. Aldys Wickstrom will serve as organist for the service with Amber Logan, Kennedy Fenster and Sara Huft providing special music. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
