Funeral services for Angeline "Angie" Christians of Herman, MN will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Eden Reformed Church in Herman. Reverend Ted Graf will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Herman.

Angeline Johanna Schroeder, daughter of Harm and Jennette (Terrel) Schroeder, was born December 26, 1921 in Rock Rapids, Iowa, where she grew up and was baptized at Salem Reformed Church. Following her schooling, Angie was hired as a housekeeper in Rock Rapids. On March 25, 1943, she was united in marriage to Manno Christians. Following their marriage, the couple remained in Little Rock, Iowa until 1957, when they moved to the Herman area, where they farmed and raised their children. Manno died in September, 1993 and Angie continued to live on the farm until 1995, when she moved into Herman. She has continued to live in Herman till the time of her death.

Angie was a member of the Eden Reformed Church in Herman, where she served on the ladies work group and attended Friday Bible Study. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, fishing, camping, animals and playing cards with her Pulman house friends. She especially loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank Hospice for all their wonderful care given to Angeline.

Angeline died on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Knute Nelson Home in Alexandria, Minnesota. She lived to reach the age of 90 years.

She is survived by two sons: Ronald (Donna) Christians of Lake City and Douglas (Renee) Christians of Fargo, ND; two daughters: Kathleen (David) Busenga of Herman and Sharon (Merle) Reiner of Bismarck, ND; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother: John (Marge) Schroeder of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister: Darlene Peters of Little Rock, IA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son: Marlin; her parents and one brother-in-law: Jack Peters.

Pallbearers for the service are: Troy Christians, Daniel Christians, Dan Benson, Ryan Watzke, Brad Zimmel and Jerrel Olson. Honorary pallbearers are all of Angie's grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Karen Hurlbut will serve as organist for the service with Greg Sperr serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Hospice.
