Anna Luthi was born on October 14, 1913 in Darnen Township to John and Sophie (Steiner) Luthi. She attended school district 53 through the eighth grade. After her schooling, Anna helped several people as a housekeeper and later moved to Peoria Illinois to work as a maid. At the age of 19, she was baptized and became an active member of the Apostolic Christian Church. On December 27, 1936, Anna was united in marriage to Paul Fehr from West Bend, Iowa. From this union eight children were born. The couple farmed in Iowa for two years before moving to Stevens County, Minnesota where they have resided ever since.
Anna enjoyed quilting, entertaining friends and spending time at the family lake cabin and their winter home in Zapata, Texas. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Anna died on Thursday, November 24, 2005 at the West Wind Village in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 92 years.
She is survived by: her husband: Paul Fehr of Morris; daughter-in-law: Judi Fehr of Lewisville, TX; seven children: Lloyd (Diane) Fehr of Morris, Ruby (Dennis) Schmidgall of Morris, Nancy (Jack) Knobloch of Galva, IL, Wilda (Harvey) Koehl of Morris, Velma (Gary) Domnick of Morris, Diane (Mike) Schmidgall of Morris and Paul Jr. (Pam) Fehr of Morris; 28 Grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by: her parents; son: Leroy Fehr; two brothers: George and Alfred Luthi; one sister: Emma Feuchtenberger; Two Grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers for the service are Chip Fehr, Gary Fehr, Loren Schmidgall, Bob Domnick, Rustin Schmidgall, Byron Koehl and Brent Knobloch. The Apostolic Christian Church Choir will be providing the special music for the service.
