The funeral for Annette Veum of Morris, Minnesota will be held privately. A public visitation will be held on Sunday at the Pedersen Funeral Home from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be at the Summit Cemetery.
Annette Ruth Lesmeister, daughter of Eugene and Katie (Valentine) Lesmeister was born on April 7, 1961 at Morris, Minnesota, where she grew up and attended school. Annette graduated from Morris High School in 1979. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Veum on May 16, 1981 in Morris. The couple made their home in Richfield, Minnesota for one year before returning to Morris. Annette worked as a transit bus driver for the City of Morris from 1988 until her retirement in August of 2014, due to health reasons.
Annette loved music, dancing with her husband and cooking. She enjoyed NASCAR and being a "Beach Bum" at Fort Meyers Beach, Florida.
Annette died on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Courage Cottage in Morris, MN. She lived to 54 years.
Annette is survived by her husband: Ken Veum of Morris; daughter: Sarah (William) Heldorfer of Canistota, SD; a grandson due in June; best friend: Virginia (Jeff) Johnson of Buffalo; two brothers: Tom (Roxanne) Lesmeister of Morris and Tony Lesmeister of Donnelly; two sisters: Betty (David) Schwanke of Grey Eagle and Rose (Mark) Voigt of Elk River; one sister-in-law: Patty (Lonnie) Anderson of Morris; three brothers-in-law: Doug (Rochelle) Veum of Knoxville, TN, Jim (Cindy) Veum of Edina and Roger (Eileen) Veum of Chaska and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Roger and two sisters: Louise and Mary.
