Arlene L. Fellows

Memorial services for Arlene Fellows of Morris, Minnesota, will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Morris, with Reverend Dan Belgum officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.  A private family burial will take place at Summit Cemetery in Morris.

Arlene Lucille Forseth, daughter of Christ and Clara (Lee) Forseth, was born October 8, 1929 on a farm near Reynolds, North Dakota, where she grew up and attended country school through the eighth grade.  Following her schooling, Arlene helped out on the family farm.  She was united in marriage to Donald Fellows on June 11, 1949 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. To this union four children: Dawn, Nile, Jon and Kelly were born.  The family made their home in several locations before settling in Morris Minnesota in 1967.  Arlene worked at the Morris High School in the cafeteria as a cashier until her retirement. Don passed away September 12, 2000. Arlene later volunteered at Pedersen Funeral Home and First Lutheran Church.  Arlene continued to live in Morris until the time of her death.

Arlene was an active member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed young people, playing cards, watching her grandchildren play and never missed a Minnesota Twins game.  She loved visiting and talking on the phone; her favorite entertainment.  The most important thing in Arlene’s life was her family. 

Arlene died peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023 at The Legacy in Morris.  She was 93 years old.

She is survived by four children: Dawn (Richard) Griffith of Hermantown, Nile (Kay) Fellows of St. Paul, Jon (Marcy) Fellows of Ortonville and Kelly (Vicki) Fellows of Lino Lakes; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one sister: Donna Grove of Grand Forks, ND. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Fellows; her parents; and siblings: Kenneth Forseth, Orville Forseth, Orpha Weber and Delores Hjelmstad.
