Arlene Kenyon

July 24, 1943 — December 28, 2008

Arlene Janet Kenyon, daughter of Edmund and Wilma (Graham) Kenyon, was born July 24, 1943 in Graceville, Minnesota. Arlene began her schooling in Barry, Minnesota and lived in the Graceville area until 1952, when her family moved to Morris. She then attended County School District #39 and went on to attend Morris High School, graduating in 1961. In 1963, she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where she worked for the Gillette Company for the next 30 years. When the factory closed, Arlene retired and moved to Maplewood, Minnesota, where she has continued to live until the time of her death.




Some of Arlene’s many hobbies were, gardening, camping, traveling, photography, baking, crafts, decorating for the holidays, helping and giving to others. She was a volunteer to the Big Sister Program. Arlene loved to spend time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.




Arlene died on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at her home in Maplewood, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 65 years.




She is survived by two brothers: Ronald (Cheryl) Kenyon of Alberta and Edmond (Connie) Kenyon of Hancock and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Joyce Beyer.




Pallbearers for the service are: Al Recker, Tim Beyer, Jim Wente, Rob Hennen, Craig Silbernick, Don Kill, Ryan Kill and Joel Kenyon. Honorary pallbearers are all of Arlene’s nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Karen Stahn will serve as organist for the service with Lisa Cain and Linda Anderson providing special music. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
