Arline Virginia Elliott, daughter of Earl and Betty (Hartman) Elliott, was born June 17, 1937 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where she grew up and graduated in 1955 from Wauwatosa High School. Following her schooling, she attended airline school to become a Flight Attendent. On July 27, 1957, she was united in marriage to Leo Schuster in Wisconsin. They moved to Scott Township in Stevens County, where they farmed and raised prize winning Charolais. When Leo died on October 29, 1978, Arline continued to live on the farm. She was married to Paul Nelson on January 30, 1988. The couple lived on a farm southwest of Donnelly, where they farmed together, until Arline entered the Good Samaritan Center in Hoffman, where she lived until the time of her death.
Arline enjoyed reading as a pastime. She also looked forward to coffee with friends at the Alberta Café, and liked to cook and bake for her family. One of her fondest memories was going to a Kenny Rogers concert back in 1995 with her husband Paul Nelson. She was a big fan and this was a very special memory for her. She loved to share good times at any family gathering. Arline also cherished the many special visits from her sister-in-law, Carol Thorstad.
