Blanche Dalseth

March 18, 1914 — February 28, 2007

Blanche Elizabeth Eisenmenger, daughter of Andrew and Agnes (Flynn) Eisenmenger, was born March 18, 1914 in Anthon, Iowa. At a young age her family moved to Graceville, where she grew up and attended and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. Following her schooling, Blanche moved to Morris. In May, 1936, Blanche was united in marriage to Ernest G. Dalseth at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville. The couple lived in Morris, where they raised their six children. Ernest died on October 3, 1966. Blanche remained in Morris until 2000, when she moved to Rosemount and in 2003 she moved to Inver Grove Heights.





Blanche was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris, where she was active in Daughters of Isabella, Mission Club, Befrienders, Assumption Church Choir, and Christian Mothers and was a CCD Teacher. For twenty years she worked as a teacher'saide at East Elementary School and also served as an election judge for many years. She also volunteered at the Villa of St. Francis, MCCL and the American Cancer Society. Blanche enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening and cooking for her family. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends.





Blanche died on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Alterra Sterling House in Inver Grove Heights, having lived to reach the age of 92 years.





She is survived by six children: Jean Lesmeister of Rosemount, Father Gerald Dalseth of Pierz, Stephen Dalseth of Burnsville, Philip (Gayle) Dalseth of Mendota Heights, Frances (John) Lamey of Sunfish Lake and Marcia (John) Woell of Burnsville; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one sister: Helen Hruby of Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers and sisters: Leo Eisenmenger, Joseph Eisenmenger, Geneva Reilly, Eleanor Decker, Cecilia Kirwin and Ruth Skoog and son-in-law: William Lesmeister.





Pallbearers for the service are Blanche's Grandchildren. Josh Fischer will serve as pianist/songleader for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
