Funeral services for C. Robert "Bob" Libbon will be held Saturday, October, 18th at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Morris, MN. Reverend Michael Hanson will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Visitation will resume one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Bob was born in Morris, MN, September 2, 1936, to Henry William and Viola Dorothy (Judd) Libbon. He graduated from the West Central School of Agriculture in Morris in 1955. He farmed on the family farm until 1996. He was also a school bus driver for the Morris School System and was beginning his 58th year this fall. He served the families of the Morris area with care and dedication.
Bob was a man of deep faith in God and love for his family (wife, children, and grandchildren). Everything Bob did stemmed from his deep reliance and confidence in the saving grace of what Jesus did on the Cross. He passed his legacy of love, grace, and faith to his children and grandchildren. Bob was a selfless man who was happiest when he was serving others.
Bob Libbon passed into his Savior's arms on October 14, 2014 at Centra-Care Hospital in St. Cloud, MN, after experiencing an aneurism at his home. He passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of fifty three years, Bea Libbon, children; Joy (Jon) Walter of Pequot Lakes, MN, Paul (Sarah) Libbon of Duluth, MN, Nathan (Sarah) Libbon of Cromwell, MN. He will be greatly missed by his beloved grandchildren; Heidi (David) Hallberg, Dane (Vanessa) Walter, Elizabeth Libbon, Andrew Libbon, Annalise Libbon, and Katherine Libbon. His great-grandchildren Emma Buchite and Elaina Walter will miss his smile and comforting arms. He is also survived by his brother, George (Shirley) Libbon of Chokio, MN, sisters; Dorothy (Dick) Desens of Hutchinson, MN and Carol (Doug) Watnemo of Maplewood, MN, and many nieces and nephews. Bob will be deeply missed by his special family friends; Harley and Helen Hanke. He was preceded in death; by his daughter, Mary Faith, father, Henry Libbon and mother, Viola Libbon
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
