Bonnie Rose Livermore, daughter of Parley and Theresa (Frank) Livermore, was born December 14, 1926 in Canby, Minnesota, where she grew up and received her schooling, graduating from Canby High School. She furthered her education at McAllister College. On November 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Eugene Charles Mitchell. The couple made their home in Minneapolis, where Bonnie was a homemaker and raised their three sons: Gregory, Bruce and Scott. In 1983, they moved to Grand Portage, where Eugene served as pastor of the Mount Rose Community Church. In 1999, the couple moved to Starbuck, but would still summer in Grand Portage. Eugene died on March 29, 2002 and Bonnie then moved into the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. Bonnie enjoyed music, gardening, quilting and reading.
Bonnie died on June 28, 2005 at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, having lived to reach the age of 78 years.
She is survived by her sons: Gregory Jon (Susan Diefenbach) Mitchell of Windham, NH, Bruce (Terri Boyd) Mitchell of Starbuck and Scott Donald (Vicki McConnell) Mitchell of Elk River; eleven grandchildren; one brother: Nick Livermore of Marietta, GA and several nieces and nephews. She we preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Charles Mitchell; granddaughter: Elizabeth Naomi Mitchell; her parents: Parley and Theresa Livermore; two brothers: Charles and Lawrence Livermore and one sister: Clara Bell Beaver.
Honorary pallbearers for the service are Stephen Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell and Mark Mitchell. Monica Gosseling will serve as organist for the service. Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
