Funeral services for Brenda Wente of Morris will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Reverend Dell Sanderson will be officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Brenda Lynn Wente was born on September 26, 1972 in St. Paul, Minnesota. On November 13, 1972, thru adoption, she became the daughter of Richard and Linda (Stoneberg) Wente. She was baptized on November 19, 1972 and confirmed on May 15, 1988 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Donnelly. Brenda was born with Marfan Syndrome, which caused many health issues. But through it all, she remained strong in her faith. She had a very deep faith in her Lord and loved all things in God's creation, except spiders.
Brenda attended Morris Elementary and Morris Area High School, graduating in 1991. While attending school, she participated in band, the musical "Grease", volleyball, basketball, softball and cheerleading. Brenda continued her education at Willmar Area Vocational Technical College, graduating in 1992 as a licensed Cosmetologist. Brenda kept herself busy with her crafts. Her dream was to have a business she had named "Bits of Brenda". She also enjoyed cooking, baking, listening to music and clipping coupons. Brenda lived in Duluth, MN for several years. In November, 2013, Brenda's family was blessed to have her move back to Morris, where her life was fulfilled spending time with them. She especially loved being with her nephews, Cade and Cole and her niece, Jacie. All of her family was special to her.
Brenda passed away at her home in Morris on Friday, July 25, 2014. She lived to the age of 41 years.
She is survived by her parents: Richard and Linda Wente of Donnelly; brother and sister-in-law: Chad (Jackie) Wente of Donnelly; two nephews: Cade and Cole Wente of Donnelly; one niece: Jacie Wente of Donnelly and many aunts, uncles and cousins: her biological family; father: John Hagen; half siblings: Jessica, Chad and Vanessa; Grandma Val and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: LeRoy and Virgal Wente and Merle and Leora Stoneberg and her biological mother: Margo DeVange.
