Brittaney Wood

The visitation for Brittaney Wood of Glenwood, MN, formerly of Starbuck, MN, scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. has been canceled.  A private family gathering will take place.

Our precious Brittaney, loving mother, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, granddaughter and friend to all.

Brittaney Kathryn Wood, daughter of Larry and Roberta (Manning) Wood, was born May 28, 1990 in Fridley, Minnesota.  She grew up and attended school in Zimmerman, Minnesota and graduated from Morris, Minnesota in 2008. Following her schooling, Brittaney worked as a certified nursing assistant at several nursing homes.  Brittaney loved working at the nursing home and always wanted to become a registered nurse. Due to her medical complications with type 1 diabetes and gastroparesis, she was unable to continue working.  She lived in Glenwood, Minnesota at the time of her death.

Brittaney loved entertaining and spending time with her son and nieces and nephews.  She loved her friends and helping others.  She was full of gusto and free spirited.  She will be remembered for her generosity, spunky and feisty attitude, and her love of having fun.

Brittaney died Sunday March 1, 2020 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, Minnesota.  She was 29 years old.

She is survived by her mother and step-father: Roberta and Scott Pochardt of Starbuck; son: Seth Havluck of Starbuck; one sister: Shelli (Jeremy Haines) Wood of Hinkley; two brothers: Shawn Wood of Crookston and her twin brother: Brett Wood of Hinkley; two grandmothers: Kathryn Manning of Zimmerman and Alice Wood of Minneapolis; seven nieces and nephews: Kaele, Jeffrey, Brady, Slade, Carter, McKenzie and Anthony and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Wood; grandfather: Robert Manning and her great-grandparents.

Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
