The funeral for Carolee Albert of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Alberta, Minnesota, with Reverend Ed Anderson officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be on Monday at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Carolee Carr, daughter of Kenneth and Eunice (Russell) Carr was born on December 7, 1943 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. After her schooling, Carolee moved to Denver, Colorado where she worked in data entry. She married Terrence Dummler on May 25, 1962, through this union twin daughters Donna and Dianne were born. In 1976, Carolee moved to Minnesota. She was united in marriage to James Albert on August 8, 1980 at the Nazarene Church in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. A daughter Kathleen was born into this union. The couple made their home in Brainerd, Minnesota, where they operated the Youth Ministry Camps. Carolee and James moved to Bemidji where Carolee worked at a nursing home. In 1994, the couple moved to Alberta, Minnesota and over the years Carolee worked at the West Wind Village and Bremer Bank in Morris. James died on March 28, 2013. Carolee moved into West Wind Village in August of 2013, where she had lived until the time of her death.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church and was the Pastor's wife, where she took on the role of church pianist. She loved music and played the piano by ear. Carolee was an excellent actress during high school, playing many roles in theater. She enjoyed reading and working on puzzles. Carolee will be remembered most for her love of the Lord and her family.
Carolee died on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the West Wind Village in Morris. She was 71 years old.
She is survived by three daughters, Dianne (Donald) Heldman, Staples, MN, Donna (Jeff) Dahl, Chanhassen, MN and Kathleen (Troy) Albert-Burge, Huntington Beach, CA; eleven grandchildren, Hannah, Jack, Ella, Abraham, Madelyn, Taylor, Blake, Lauren, Bethany, Jessica (Ethan) Black and Nicole (Tyler) Chaika; her mother, Eunice Carr, St. Cloud, MN and two sisters, Sheila (Brad) Knowles, St. Cloud, MN and Deb Stockey, Grand Rapids, MN. Carolee was preceded in death by her husband, James, her father, Kenneth and step-son, John Albert.
