Funeral Services for Caroline Woolridge will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church in Morris, with Father Todd Schneider celebrating the mass. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and the visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Morris.
Caroline Louise (Sauter) Woolridge was born to William and Catherine Sauter on December 26, 1926 in Synnes Township, Stevens County Minnesota. She was the sixth of twelve children. Caroline was united in marriage to Wallace (Wally) Woolridge on June 17, 1948 in Morris, MN where they continued to live and raise their family of nine children. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Christian Mothers Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Assumption Catholic Church.
In addition to being a mother of nine, she worked part-time at various businesses in Morris until 2005. Caroline was known for her unforgettable caramel rolls, apples bars, angel food cakes, and sprinkle sugar cookies. After retiring, Caroline enjoyed spending time at the lake, camping, fishing, and visiting with her family. She loved sitting by the lake watching the world go by. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles.
Caroline passed away peacefully at the Stevens Community Medical Center on March 5, 2022, at 95 years old.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wally; her daughter, Joyce Shelton; grandsons: Christopher Woolridge and Jeremiah Gustafson; daughter-in-law, Beth Woolridge; son-in-law, Allen Kohler; as well her brothers and sisters: Mary Meyer, Ben Sauter, Joe Sauter, Willie Sauter, Dorothy Meyer, Eleanor Logan, Catherine Logan and Irene Schuster.
Caroline is survived by her four sons and four daughters: Mike (Anita) Woolridge of East Bethel, Linda (Dan) Roberts of Alexandria, Diane Woolridge of Coon Rapids, Sandy (Gary) Thorstad of Morris, Patt (David) Gustafson of Onamia, Mark (Lynn) Woolridge of Morris, Matt Woolridge of Coon Rapids, and Myron (Kelly) Woolridge of Isanti. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Lorraine Woolridge, Delores Koplin, Rosella Juergensen; and many nieces and nephews.
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in the care of arrangements for Caroline.
