Charles Feldick

September 10, 1923 — March 23, 2008

Charles Raymond Feldick, son of Charles and Mabel (Rinke) Feldick, was born September 10, 1923 in Leonardsville Township in Traverse County, Minnesota, where he grew up and attended District #26 Country School. On May 4, 1944, Ray enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a Gunner Mate in WWII. He received an honorable discharge on July 28, 1946. Following his discharge, he returned to Ortonville, where he worked for John Deere for many years. Ray later owned and operated his own shop east of Ortonville. In 2005, Ray became a resident of West Wind Village in Morris, where he has continued to live until the time of his death.



Ray died on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at West Wind Village in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 84 years.



He is survived by one sister: Carol (Herb) Kloos of Donnelly and seven nieces and nephews: James and Darlene Feldick of Pennsylvania, Janice and Jim Johanningmeier of Iowa, Jackie and David Strand of Brooten, Peggy and Larry Werk of Alexandria, Paul and Gail Kloos of Donnelly, Phil and Kris Kloos of Donnelly and Parker and Renee Kloos of Donnelly. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Walter, Elmer and Kermit Feldick; one sister: Esther Feldick and one niece: Pamela Kloos.



Pallbearers for the service are: Shirley VanBuren, Herb Kloos, Paul Kloos, Phil Kloos, Parker Kloos and Larry Werk. Cheryl Rempel will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangement.
