The funeral for Chris Moser, of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Morris Apostolic Christian Church, rural Morris, with the Apostolic Christian Church Ministers officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, and Saturday, one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Morris.
Chris Moser, son of Joseph and Rosina (Luthi) Moser was born on October 3, 1923 in Horton Township, near Morris, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. After his schooling, Chris began farming with his father. He was united in marriage to Marion Sanders on June 22, 1952 at Marion’s parents’ home, near Hoffman, Minnesota. The couple made their home near Morris for a short time, before moving near Herman, where the couple farmed. In 1961 due to health reasons, Chris and Marion moved to Morris, where Chris drove bulk truck for the local Co-op. In 1967, they purchased Marion’s parents’ farm near Hoffman, Minnesota. The couple retired from farming in 1987, and moved into Morris in 1991. Chris entered the West Wind Village in May of 2017.
He was a member of the Morris Apostolic Christian Church. Chris enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. In retirement, Chris and Marion traveled many places including: Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe.
Chris died on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the West Wind Village in Morris. He was 95 years old.
He is survived by his wife: Marion Moser, Morris; three sons: Marvin (Jennifer Siegel) Moser, Kensington, CA, Harvey (Allison) Moser, Rogers, MN, and Wayne (Cynthia Peske) Moser, Lemmon, SD; three grandchildren: Janeen (Frank) Velarde, San Jose, CA, Jeffrey (Erin) Moser, Plymouth, MN and Theo Moser, Kensington, CA; one great-grandson, Reese Moser, Plymouth, MN; one brother: Bill (Joyce) Moser, Morris, MN; and one sister-in-law: Florence Moser, Brentwood, CA. Chris was preceded in death by one son: Charles; his parents; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Nate Moser, Joseph (Hazel) Moser and Alphai (Pearl) Moser; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Liz (Emil) Wulf, Emma (Noah) Gerber, Martha (Ernest) Feucht, and Minnie (Earl) Kussatz.
