Clara Francis Satzer, daughter of Michael and Francis (Tichner) Satzer, was born September 29, 1899 in Pepperton Township in Stevens County, Minnesota, where she grew up and began her schooling at a country school. She finished her schooling in Alberta. She was united in marriage to Joseph Nagl in September of 1928. The couple made their home near Morris and later moved north of Morris on Highway 59. Joseph died in 1972 and Clara remained in their home until 2001, when she moved into the West Wind Village in Morris, where she has remained since that time.



Clara was a member Assumption Catholic Church. She liked the farm, where she raised chickens and being outdoors. Her family was a very important part of her life.



Clare died on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at the West Wind Village in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 106 years.



She is survived by two sons: George (Virene) Nagl of Morris and Donald (Sue) Nagl of Zimmerman; five daughters: Theresa Brosh of Morris, Dorothy Schuelke of California, Margaret (Frank) Zahl of Park Rapids, Helen (Jim) Schroeder of Aitkin and Patricia Slack of Minneapolis; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter: Delores Schuetze; one infant grandchild; her parents and four brothers: John, Joe, Carl and Steve.



Pallbearers for the service are: Dave Liebl, Oscar Brandt, Gary Schroeder, Mark Schroeder, Steve Schroeder and Brian Zahl. Linda Hodgson will serve as organist for the service with Ken Hodgson serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
