Cleo Christensen

Cleo Elizabeth Johnson Christensen was born to Glen and Margaret Johnson on February 11, 1925. She grew up in Wayzata, MN and attended the University of Minnesota, earning two college degrees. On December 20, 1952, she married Melvin Christensen. They moved to his family farm in Wilmot, SD, where Cleo taught school for over two decades. They moved to Morris, MN in 2006. An accomplished artist, Cleo was also a talented seamstress, cook, baker and interior designer, but most importantly, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Cleo died on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at West Wind Village in Morris, MN. She was 93 years old.

She is survived by two daughters: Rhoda (Mike) Smith of Donnelly and Cindy (Curt) Richard of Rolette, ND; three granddaughters: Jessica (Jake Hamik) Stori of Rapid City, SD, Chelsey (Eric) Rongen of Fullerton, ND and Kacie (Lacey) Richard of Brookings, SD and one beloved great-granddaughter: Ridley Rongen. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years; her parents; two brothers and one sister-in-law.
