Clifford William Skoglund, son of Carl and Signey (Peterson) Skoglund, was born February 12, 1912 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was baptized on April 21, 1912 by Reverend L. A. Johnston and confirmed on June 5, 1927 at Bethany Lutheran Church by Reverend C. S. Ranius. Cliff grew up in Minneapolis, attending school at Horace Mann Elementary, Hiawatha Elementary, Maria Sanford Junior High and Roosevelt High School. Cliff and Clara spent many winters in California and Arizona, where they met many new friends and enjoyed spending time outdoors. They lived in Donnelly until 1994, when they moved to Morris. Clara died on May 27, 2005 and Cliff has continued to live in Morris since that time.

While living in Spruce Hill Township, Cliff served on the Township Board, the School Board and the Spruce Hill Lutheran Church Board. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, singing and going on nature walks. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends.
