Funeral services for Connie Tatge of Morris, MN will be a private family service. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. A public burial will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Summit Cemetery in Morris.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people. The use of face masks by attendees is required, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean. Connie Kay Tatge, daughter of Fred and Delia (Wahl) Tatge, was born December 15, 1963 in Morris, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Federated Church in Morris. Connie graduated from Morris High School in 1982. While in high school, Connie met George Haugen and they have been engaged since 1981. Connie and George enjoyed cooking and working in restaurants. They owned Don’s café for 16 years; worked at The Diamond Supper Club, The Sunwood Inn and for the last two years, were cooks at Dakota Magic Casino in North Dakota, where she made many friends.
She enjoyed playing bingo, collecting cookbooks and baking and decorating for the holidays for special events at the restaurants. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Connie and George loved working and traveling together and going out to eat. Everyone enjoyed her no bake cookies, bars, cakes, desserts and salads and looked forward to when she brought a container to share. Connie was a kind and caring, positive person who always had a smile on her face and a willingness to help anyone.
Connie passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 3, 2020 in Wahpeton, North Dakota. She was 56 years old.
She is survived by her loving fiancé: George Haugen of Morris; her siblings: Nancy (Jim) Koos of Avon; Shirley Wittig of Florida; Lois Tatge (fiancé: Rick Ehrp) of Chokio and her twin brother: Ronnie Tatge of Coon Rapids; her nieces and nephews and their families: Kristin (Mike) Olson, Anya & Sven; John (Angie) Koos, Joel and Collin; Lori (Nate) Austin, Emily & Hailey and Mike (Sheri) Koos. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Doris Tatge; brother-in-law: Gayle Wittig; nephew, Ross Olson and Nova Koos and her three miniature Schnauzers, that she loved dearly.
