Corey Jergenson

November 26, 1971 — January 1, 2009

Corey Michael Jergenson, son of Robert and Barb (Hoyer) Jergenson, was born November 26, 1971 in Morris, Minnesota. Corey grew up in the Morris area, where he attended Morris Area High School, graduating in 1990. He then attended Alexandria Vo-Tech for one year before returning to Morris, where he worked with his father and brother on the family mink farm. Corey also worked for the fur auction company in New York and Wisconsin, grading mink pelts prior to auctions. In 1998, Corey took a job with Jim Riley & Sons Construction in Morris, where he worked as an equipment operator. He continued in that job until the time of his death.

Corey had a variety of hobbies, including fishing, hunting and camping. He was also a huge Vikings and NASCAR fan. More than anything else, Corey loved spending time with his children and his entire family. He will always be remembered for his loyalty and his constant reminders that he was just “livin’ the dream”. His family will also miss his heartfelt greetings of “I Love Ya Man”.
