Corrine Schmidgall

The funeral for Corrine Schmidgall of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church near Morris, with the Apostolic Christian Church Ministers officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Morris.

Corrine Mae Moser, daughter of Benjamin and Clara (Scheitlin) Moser was born on December 18, 1926 near Morris, Minnesota. Corrine's father died when she was just 6 years old. She attended rural country school through the 8th grade and then worked several jobs in the Morris area. Corrine was baptized in the Apostolic Christian Church in 1949 and was united in marriage to Richard Schmidgall on April 14, 1957. The couple made their home in Hancock, where Corrine stayed home and raised their seven children. Richard and Corrine moved into West Wind Village in Morris in October of 2007. Richard died on January 8, 2009, and Corrine continued to live in Morris until the time of her death.

Corrine died on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at West Wind Village in Morris at the age of 87 years.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Kathryn) Schmidgall, and Bruce (Penny) Schmidgall, all of Hancock; four daughters, Nancy (Jim) Kaufmann, Normal, IL, Brenda (Mark) Knobloch, Morris, Lois (Chuck) Massner, Mediapolis, IA and Peggy (Tony) Ascheman, Hancock; one son-in-law, Roger (Connie) Evink, Hancock; one brother, Carl (Norene) Moser, Morris; one sister, Alice Wulf, Lester, IA; four brothers-in-law, Wayne (Dorothy) Schmidgall, Morris, Hartzell Schmidgall, Mediapolis, IA, Gilbert (Barbara) Schmidgall, Morris, and Gene (Dorothy) Schmidgall, Morris; four sisters-in-law, Virginia Schmidgall, Gladys Messner and Estella Moser all of Morris and Darlene Carlton, Bonney Lake, WA; twenty-eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Corrine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Mary Evink, two brothers, Benjamin and Melvin and one sister, Dorothy Durkee.
