Craig Sachs

Funeral services for Craig Sachs of Hancock will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Reverend Paul McCullough will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, as well as one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Horton Township, MN.

Craig Roy Sachs, son of Edgar and Ruth (Wente) Sachs, was born August 18, 1953 in Morris, Minnesota. He grew up in the Hancock, Minnesota area, where received his education, graduating from Hancock High School. Craig was also baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hancock. Following his graduation, Craig began working for Hancock Concrete. He has continued to work for Hancock Concrete for the past 39 years. When Craig wasn't busy working, he loved to attend auction sales all around the area.

Craig died very peacefully and unexpectedly at his home in Hancock on Saturday, March 26, 2011, having lived to reach the age of 57 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Janine (Scott) Terry of Varnville, SC; his life partner, Connie Burns of Willmar; his step-sons: Jason (Lacey) Larson of Willmar, Nathan (Laura) Larson of Willmar and Joshua Larson of Willmar; 12 grandchildren: Hailey, Shelby, Joshua, Tyler, Nyssa, Dylan, Ashley, MaKenna, Wyatt, Brooke, Cassidy and Jacob; his sister, Darlene (Jack) Christman of Glenwood; his brother, Roger (Eileen) Sachs of Rosemount and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his brother, Duane; his nephew, Duane and his niece, Jean Gloege.

Pallbearers for the service will be Craig's Family & Friends. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
