Dale Crow

November 25, 1937 — May 20, 2006

Dale Dean Crow, son of Bryon and Mary Ethel (Laddusaw) Crow, was born in Norcross, Minnesota on November 25, 1937. He worked for many farmers and for his uncle when he was younger. In his mid-teens, he worked for Bud Crow hauling gravel and moving buildings with his dad, Byron. He entered the service in January 1955 and served until 1958. He married Dolores Jensen on June 21, 1959. Dale and Dolores had four children; Terry, Lori, Larry and Delbert. In 1959, he owned a house moving business for a year and then moved to the cities for a year. He got a chance to work for Dean-Jones Farm Supply later named Orschlens Farm Supply in Morris, so they moved back. He also had many side jobs such as working nights for a farmer, lettering trucks and also striping many parking lots, he took the family along for that. He started working for the City of Morris in 1968 as a heavy equipment operator and was foreman for a while until he retired on disability in November 1997. In 1993, Dale and Dolores sold their home in town and moved to their lake home, which they had purchased in 1973 with Dale's mother. They had to add on to it and put in heat, plumbing and drill a well, as it was just a summer cabin. Also in June of 1993, they built a garage with a wood shop, which Dale spent many hours in creating many, many wood projects. Some of these projects included lamps for all the grandkids, a miniature steam engine, threshing machine, a trailer and bobsled. He also made an oak cradle that two of his grandchildren and all of his great-grandchildren have used and many more projects to numerous to mention. He loved it at the lake and hardly ever came to town. He also loved cooking and watched many bull riders on TV. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
