David Schmidgall

David Lee Schmidgall, son of David J. and Alma Jean (Kaisner) Schmidgall, was born October 3, 1960, at Fairbury, Illinois. David grew up and received his education in Forrest, IL, graduating from Forrest, Strawn & Wing in 1978. On October 5, 1980, David was baptized into the Apostolic Christian Church in Forrest, IL. When David was in his 20's he moved to Minnesota. On October 5, 1997, he was united in marriage to Janet Feuchtenberger. The couple made their home in rural Morris, where they have raised their two children, Rachel and Martha. David has worked for Aaron Carlson Woodworking in Morris for the past 13 years.

David was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Morris. He enjoyed visiting with people, helping others, spending time with his family and working on the farm.

David died at his home on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, having lived to reach the age of 50 years.

He is survived by his wife: Janet Schmidgall of Morris; two daughters: Rachel and Martha Schmidgall of Morris; his father: David J. Schmidgall of Fairbury, IL; siblings: Sam (Sherrie) Schmidgall of Forrest, IL, Dan (Mary) Schmidgall of Fairbury, IL, James (Lisa) Schmidgall of Fairbury, IL, John (Janet) Schmidgall of Fairbury, IL and Mary Tewell (and friend Andre Ross) of Urbana, IL; father and mother-in-law: Gerald and Karen Feuchtenberger; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: DWayne & Kay Feuchtenberger of Starbuck, Doug & Kim Feuchtenberger of Morris, Carter & Amanda Feuchtenberger of Donnelly, Kathy Feuchtenberger of Morris, Mike & Jennifer Feuchtenberger of Fairbury, IL, Ruth & Kurt Zaugg of West Bend, IA, Christopher Feuchtenberger and Deanna Feuchtenberger of Morris. He was preceded in death by his mother: Alma Jean Schmidgall; his grandparents; two nieces and one nephew.

Pallbearers for the service are: David's brothers and brothers-in-law. The Apostolic Christian Church Choir will provide special music for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
