The funeral for Dennis Allen Bouressa, of Donnelly, Minnesota will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Donnelly, with Reverend Rochelle Anderson officiating. Visitation will be on Monday at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Dennis Allen Bouressa, son of Blanchard "Bud" and Helen (Smith) Bouressa was born on April 17, 1940 at Morris, Minnesota. He grew up and attended school in Donnelly, and furthered his education at North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Dennis was united in marriage to LaVonne Flieschfresser on July 25, 1970; through this union two sons were born. Dennis lived in Herman, Minnesota, where he worked for Groth Ford for several years. He later moved back to Donnelly and began working in Morris at the West Wind Village Nursing Home in the Maintenance Department for over 25 years. After his retirement in 2001, Dennis continued to live in Donnelly, where he enjoyed visiting friends, tinkering and having coffee and cookies.
Dennis was a single father and took great pride in teaching his sons good morals and values. He enjoyed taking the boys fishing and camping and teaching them the outdoors. Dennis will be remembered for being a very caring and giving person, who could fix anything; but most of all he will be remembered for being a loving father.
Dennis died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, having reached the age of 72 years.
He is survived by two sons, Bill (Kim) Bouressa, Cyrus, MN and Darin (Amy) Bouressa, Columbus, IN; one brother, Allen Bouressa, Rice, MN; one sister, Renee (Lynn) Thompson, Brandon, MN; seven grandchildren, Cassandra (Patrick) Melville, Fargo, ND, Riccardo Crader and Brett Bouressa, both of Cyrus, MN, Harmony Clough, Nashville, TN and Cody, Michael and Haley Bouressa, all of Columbus, IN; two great-grandchildren, Cody Melville, Fargo, ND and Aryana Noyes, Starbuck, MN; one brother-in-law, Darrell Schaub, and one sister-in-law, Sharon Bouressa, both of Fergus Falls, MN. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Gerald, Herbert and Hollis, and one sister, Janet Schaub.
