Dennis Pring

Dennis Floyd Pring, son of Floyd and Virginia (Nelson) Pring was born on November 14, 1939 in Graceville, MN. He grew up on the family farm, south of Chokio. He attended country school through the sixth grade. Dennis graduated from Chokio High School in 1957. After his schooling Dennis joined the U. S. Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1968.
He was united in marriage on June 5, 1965 to Vivian Mattson at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio. Dennis continued to live and work on the Pring family farm. He also worked for Heartland Motor Company in Morris and Chokio Equity in Chokio. In 2004 Dennis moved into the East Side Acres in Chokio.
Dennis was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the VFW, both of Chokio. He really enjoyed hunting and fishing
Dennis died on Thursday, April 26, 2007 in his home, having lived to reach the age of 67.
He is survived by three sons: Jeff (Janie) Pring of Cyrus, Bryan (Lynn) Pring of Prairie Farm, WI, Shannon (Jill) Pring of Cloquet, MN; 2 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; brother: Daryl (Bette) Pring of Gainesville, FL; sister: Julene (Roger) Amborn of Chokio. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers for the service are: John Brethorst, Merrill Carlson, Art Stahn, David Anderson, Ron Snell and Ronnie Lemmerman. Audrey Erickson will serve as organist. The Chokio VFW will provide military honors. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of arrangements.
