Dennis Seymoure Tharaldson, son of Olaf and Gilma (Bendickson) Tharaldson, was born December 25, 1929 on the family farm in Langhei Township, Pope County, Minnesota. Dennis was baptized and confirmed at East Zion Lutheran Church, where he was a life-long member. He grew up in Langhei Township, where he attended rural school District #22. After his schooling, he began working on the family farm. On March 7, 1954, Dennis was united in marriage to Ester Larson at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Villard. The couple made their home on the farm in Langhei Township, where they lived and farmed their entire married lives. Dennis loved life on the farm and was always concerned about land conservation and wildlife preservation.
Dennis has always had a passion for playing cards, and was a charter member of the Starbuck Card Room. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved the time he spent with his entire family. Dennis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
