Funeral services for Eldora Eich of Morris, Minnesota will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Robert Kieffer will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 with a prayer service at 5:00 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Fron Lutheran Cemetery in Starbuck, MN.
Eldora Carol Robertson, daughter of Leofred and Laura (Steen) was born December 28, 1931 in Artichoke Township in Big Stone County, Minnesota. She graduated from Morris High School and began working at Henry's Candy Company. At the age of 19, she married Russell Jenson. To this union two children were born. The couple resided in Starbuck and later settled in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where Eldora continued to work as a bookkeeper and provided for her family. Eldora and Russell enjoyed 39 years of marriage before Russell passed away in 1990. Eldora married a second time in 1998 and shared the latter years of her life with Leonard Eich, who passed away in January, 2011.
Eldora was a patient and loving women who worked tirelessly to care for her loved ones. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, time with her sisters, interior design and architecture.
Eldora died on Monday, May 28, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Starbuck, Minnesota. She lived to reach the age of 80 years.
She is survived by two children: Cary (Carrie Jean) Jenson of Starbuck and Melissa (Jeff) Seacrist of Portland, OR; six grandchildren: Chelsea Jenson, Casey Jenson, Benjamin Seacrist, Caitlyn Jenson, Samuel Seacrist and Ethan Maudal and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; her sisters: Genevieve Swenson, Dolores Root and Lorraine Robertson.
Pallbearers for the services are Eldora's grandchildren: Chelsea Jenson, Casey Jenson, Benjamin Seacrist Caitlyn Jenson, Samuel Seacrist, Ethan Maudal. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Eich, Dr. Patrick Burke and all of Eldora's family and friends. Linda and Ken Hodgson will provide special music for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Courage Cottage and the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.
