Elizabeth Ann Axtmann, was born on December 11, 1974, the daughter of Joseph and Kathleen (Ermer) Axtmann, in Fargo, North Dakota. Elizabeth lived in Fargo and several other North Dakota cities before moving to Morris with her family. Elizabeth grew up in Morris and graduated from Morris Area High School. Following graduation, Elizabeth lived in several places in Minnesota before locating to her present residence in Alexandria, MN. She loved her friends at the Troutwell House and her work at the AOC. She touched the lives of those around her and made their days much brighter.
Elizabeth loved life and she loved to travel, especially when she could spend time with family. Elizabeth visited many states and even spent time with her mom's uncles, visiting mountain parks, catching crabs in the bay and clamming in the sand. Elizabeth rejoiced in the happiness of her cousins and she enjoyed visiting and seeing their new babies. She always asked how they were doing and when we were going to visit them next. Elizabeth enjoyed her outings with her family and rejoiced whenever they visited. Visits by her grandparents were also a special source of joy for her. Elizabeth also enjoyed her weekly outings with her friends whether it was walking in the mall, bowling, swimming or shopping. She enjoyed singing, walking and talking. But most of all, Elizabeth loved to dance! The family weddings and anniversaries were enormously important to her and Elizabeth was always more than ready to "shake a leg". Elizabeth was very excited to celebrate as Maid of Honor at her sister's wedding on June 3, 2006.
Elizabeth died unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 31 years. She was near the home and people she loved.
