Ellen Dornquast

Funeral services for Ellen Dornquast of Morris, MN will be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris, with Reverend Dell Sanderson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Ellen A. Wilson, daughter of Vernard and Marie (Aanerud) Wilson was born December 27, 1919 in Morris, Minnesota. She was baptized on January 18, 1920 by Rev. J. L. Powell and confirmed on May 20, 1934 by Rev. Sverre Torgerson at Bethany Church. Ellen attended and graduated from Morris High School in 1938. On May 24, 1941, she was united in marriage to Sylvester Dornquast at Bethany Lutheran Church in Morris by Reverend Sverre Torgerson. They farmed in the Morris area until retiring from farming in 1985. Sylvester died on November 22, 1995. Ellen later moved to West Wind Village in Morris, where she has continued to live until the time of her death.
Ellen was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. She always enjoyed her visits with family and friends.
Ellen died on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at West Wind Village in Morris. She lived to 95 years.
She is survived by one daughter: June Plessel of Harris; two sons: Donald (Susan) Dornquast of Fort Worth, TX and Paul (Laurie) Dornquast of Morris; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters: Viola and Joyce and one brother: Raymond Wilson.
