Visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 – 7:00pm on Friday, March 28th and will continue at church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Lowry.
Eric Lundebrek was born on January 16th, 1968 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Minneapolis. Almost two years later, he and his family moved to the Lowry farm where his love for farming and the land would shape his life in ways that few could match.
He was a proud 1986 graduate of Glenwood High School who spent his high school years milking cows, farming, and working as a mason for his uncle, Leroy. On the football field, he wore number 72. His life was one of balance—mixing hard labor with laughter, love, and an ever-present sense of humor.
Eric attended Moorhead Tech for a brief time, where he met the love of his life, Char, who was attending Moorhead State University. The two married in 1990, and after a few years living in the Twin Cities, they returned to Lowry in 1994, where they built a life full of love, family, and farming.
Farming wasn’t just a job for Eric; it was a passion. He loved the entire process—planting, growing, and harvesting—and could always be found talking shop, offering insight into the details of farming, or simply sharing his knowledge with anyone who asked. Tending to the cattle was also a part of his daily life that he truly cherished, most days anyways. But perhaps what he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren—Vivienne, Noah, Clara, Colton, and Wyatt. His joy in being their grandfather was immeasurable, and he cherished every moment with them. His favorite phrase to teach them was, John Deere, 4010, Diesel!!
Known for his quick wit and his ability to lovingly “give people crap,” Eric’s laughter was infectious. Whether working hard or enjoying a cold beer with family and friends, he knew how to make everyone feel welcome. Grilling for a crowd? Eric had it down to an art. He was a great storyteller and had an uncanny ability to make any gathering feel like the best one.
If you were ever looking for Eric, you could usually find him in his shop, checking on the crops, or enjoying a ride on the side-by-side with a perfect view of the countryside. His love for the land, his family, and the simple joys of life will forever be remembered.
Eric Lundebrek, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, died Saturday, March 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 57 years old.
