.
Evelyn grew up on the family farm in
Nora
Township
, and was baptized and confirmed at
Nora
Lutheran
Church
by Reverend Quammen.
She also received her education in the same area at the District 50 country school.
After her schooling, Evelyn lived in Morris where she worked in the homes of Clifford Lee, Esther Kroening, Eleanor Gay and Henry Eidsvold.
Evelyn was a member of
Nora
Lutheran
Church
in her earlier years, and
First
Lutheran
Church
after making her home in Morris.
She always loved the affection and companionship she received from her miniature poodle, Britta, and she truly enjoyed being in the community of Morris.
She will also be remembered by Mabel as being the best sister that anyone has ever had.
Evelyn died on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the Courage Cottage in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 93 years.
She is survived by her sister, Mabel Koch of Morris; one cousin, Amanda Dohlen of Cyrus and her special friends, Jim & Ann Eidsvold of
Alexandria
and George & Joyce Kramer of Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jeanette Koch.
Pallbearers for the service are: Jim Eidsvold, George Kramer, Allan Saugstad, Donald Ritter and Gerard Dohlen.
Deb Mahoney will serve as organist for the service, with special music provided by Jim & Ann Eidsvold.
