On July 25, 1934, she was united in marriage to Charles Ritter at St. Mary's Church in Chokio by Father Luethner. To this union six children were born. She and Charles farmed for many years. In 1961, they moved into Chokio, where Florence was a cook at the Chokio-Alberta Schools and cleaned many homes. Florence spent many hours taking care of the linens for St. Mary's Catholic Church. Florence and Charles enjoyed 68 years of marriage before he passed away in 2003. Florence continued to live in their home in Chokio until 2008, when she moved to the Grace Home in Graceville.
Florence enjoyed making sure others were taken care of. She loved to cook and bake and always had room for one more to stop by and join in for a meal or a cup of coffee. She had a very strong faith and her family was the focus of her life.
