Golden Gate was a village near Sleepy Eye but has since vanished.

After their marriage, they farmed at Sleepy Eye, Springfield and Lamberton, until 1956 when they moved to Darnen Township, Morris MN where they farmed until their retirement. Florence moved into Morris in 1994 and lived there with her son Roger.

Florence is survived by one daughter, Joyce Wendt, and one son, Roger Wendt, both of Morris and one brother, Albert Wellnitz of Sleepy Eye, plus one sister, Gladys Nelson of Springfield, and many nephews and nieces.
The Lord blessed Florence with 95 years on this earth. Her mortal remains will await the glorious resurrection at Summit Cemetery in Morris.
