The memorial service for Frances L. Kirk, of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home Chapel in Morris. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Frances Lorraine Belanger, daughter of Francis & Dorothy Belanger was born on September 16, 1948 in Hibbing, Minnesota, where she grew up and attended school. After graduating from high school, Frances moved out west and attended Utah Technical College in Salt Lake City. She married John Kirk in May of 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple lived in California and Nevada before moving to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in 1990, where they managed apartments. In 1997 they moved to Morris, where they have lived until the time of Frances death.
Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morris. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and cooking. She will be remembered for being the "Heartbeat of the House".
Frances died on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the SCMC in Morris. She was 64 years old.
She is survived by her husband, John Kirk and Tawnie Smith, Morris; five children, Sheila Inkman, April Smith, Angel (Gordon) Marth; John Inkman, John (Holly) Kirk Jr.; her mother, Dorothy, Hibbing; two brothers, Raymond (Sally) and Roy (Shelly) and one sister Kathy; also surviving Frances are thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Joe.
