Fred Juergensen

Fred Harry Juergensen, son of Clarence and Evelyn (Anderson) Juergensen, was born September 22, 1947 at the Stevens County Hospital in Morris, Minnesota, where he was also baptized the day he was born. He was later baptized at First Lutheran Church in Morris. Fred spent his childhood in Framnas Township in Stevens County. He attended Morris Stone School and Morris Elementary Special Education Programs. Fred resided for a period of time at Lake Park Wild Rice ChildrenA�A�A½s Home in Fergus Falls, Cambridge State Hospital and Eagan Group Home. In 1983 Fred moved to Presbyterian Family Foundation in Willmar, MN. While living in Willmar, he was employed by West Central Industries in the packaging department. In February 2010, he moved back to Morris, where he became a resident of West Wind Village and enjoyed living until the time of his death.

Fred enjoyed driving his "motor", watching "Walker Texas Ranger", playing his harmonica and trumpet, crocheting, needlework, eating Hershey bars, drinking hot chocolate, caring for his cat Ben and having meals with family and friends.

Fred died on Monday, October 25, 2010 at West Wind Village in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 63 years.

Fred is survived by his parents: Clarence and Evelyn Juergensen of Morris; one sister: Ruth Ann (Steve) Smith of Pennock; one brother: Jay Clarence (Judy) Juergensen of Morris and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother: Jerry Juergensen; one niece: Amy Jo Juergensen and grandparents: Harry and Ella Juergensen and Fred and Grace Anderson.

Honorary Pallbearers for the service are: Jennifer Thorpe, Trisha Smith, Jayme Boots, Steven Smith, Zachary Thorpe, Anthony Smith, Madison Thorpe, Cassidy Asmus, Darwin Thorpe, Sean Boots and his many family and friends. Deb Mahoney will serve as pianist for the service with Sharon Martin serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
