Glenn Burnham

September 5, 1913 — February 2, 2006

Glenn Ervin Burnham, son of Fred and Pearle (Varnum) Burnham, was born September 5, 1913 on the family farm in Walden Township in Pope County, where he grew up and attended country school. He continued his education at the West Central School of Agriculture in Morris, where he graduated in 1930. On June 23, 1934, he was united in marriage to Bernice "Bonnie" Huntley on the Huntley family farm in rural Hancock. To this union three children were born. Glenn carried on the family farm, which was established by his grandparents and where the couple raised their children. Glenn had a sincere interest and love for family and friends.



Glenn died on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 92 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the residents of Walnut Court.



He is survived by his wife: Bernice "Bonnie" Burnham of Hancock; children: Ronald (Karen) Burnham of Starbuck, Lois (Paul) Burnham-Sailer of Wadena and Allan (Ilene) Burnham of Morris; seven grandchildren: Chad Burnham, Greg Burnham, Glenn Johnson, Ranee (Wayne) Grunklee, Jody (Michael) Johnson-Huerbin, Heather (Brett) Duncan and Barbara McDonald; ten great-grandchildren: Theresa Avery, Amy Burnham Baukol, Gideon Burnham, Elizabeth Burnham, Jeremiah Burnham, Hope Burnham, Summer Johnson Huerbin, Hunter Huerbin, Jacob Grunklee and Nathan Grunklee and one great-great-grandson: Lindell Brooks. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson: Michael E. Burnham.



Pallbearers for the service are: Chad Burnham, Greg Burnham, Glenn Johnson, Wayne Grunklee, Brett Duncan, Michael Huerbin and Gideon Burnham. Honorary pallbearers are Glenn's granddaughters: Barbara McDonald, Ranee Grunklee, Jody Johnson-Huerbin and Heather Duncan. Lois Strei will serve as pianist for the service with Gary and Elna Smith providing special music. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
