Gloria Sutton

Gloria Claire Hauck, daughter of Christian and Stella (Castor) Hauck, was born December 16, 1921 in St. Cloud , Minnesota , where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from the St. Cloud Technical High School . On October 1, 1953, she was united in marriage to Millard Sutton in Foley , Minnesota . To this union three sons were born: Daniel, Christian and Brian. Gloria and Millard joined and in the later years owned the family operated Royal Café from 1953 to 1977 before retirement. Gloria knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of the one true church as described in Ephesians 4:1-16. She enjoyed collecting antiques, flower gardening, writing letters and poems, sing-a-longs, bible prophecy, history and a good talk on politics. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Gloria died on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood , MN , having lived to reach the age of 88 years.

She is survived by three sons: Daniel Sutton of Lowry, Christian (Annette) Sutton of Cashton, WI and Brian (Carol) Sutton of Starbuck; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers: Victor Hauck, Harold Hauck and Robert Hauck and three sisters: Isabel Hauck, Hazel Asher and Stella Reid.

Pallbearers for the service are: C.J. Sutton, Joel Sutton, Robbie Sutton, Nick Sutton, Nolan Sutton and Doug Musselman. Honorary pallbearers are: Nathan Sutton, Brandon Flom, Phil Habel, Cory Sutton, Jonathan Sutton and Melissa Sutton. Laurie Musselman will serve as pianist for the service with Gloria’s grandchildren providing special music. Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
