A memorial service for Howard Dosdall of Morris, Minnesota will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Reverend Julius Miller will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Howard Irving Dosdall was born in Morris, Minnesota on May 12, 1946. The son of Glen and Genevieve (Nielsen) Dosdall, he grew up in Walden Township of Pope County and graduated from Cyrus High School in 1964 as an all-state football player. After working on the family farm, Howard turned toward entrepreneurial pursuits. Throughout his life, he owned a gas station in Cyrus, hauled freight as an independent owner/operator and founded Lawn and Driveway Service, Inc.
Howard enjoyed many hobbies and collecting, especially knives, guns, and marbles. As a proud Harley owner, he loved riding with his motorcycle friends. Although his life became more sedentary due to chronic health issues, he continued to explore and research interests on the internet. Nothing made him happier than talking with his friends and family, especially on his patio. He passed away at his home on October 12, 2012.
Howard died on Friday, October 12, 2012 at his home in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 66 years.
Howard is survived by his wife, Lynn; his children: Tallack Dosdall of Hayfield, Thore Dosdall of Minneapolis, Jamie Dosdall of Bloomington, Earl (Donna) Barnaal of Hutchinson, and Kathy Barnaal; his siblings: Beverly (Richard) Boyer of Woodbury, Roger (Beth) Dosdall of Prior Lake, and Raymond (Christine) Dosdall of Columbia Heights; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brother Larry.
