Irene Sutherland Angier, daughter of Frank and Lillian (Beggs) Angier, was born May 25, 1907 in Hancock, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Hancock High School. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis studying Physical Education. On February 16, 1937, she was united in marriage to George W. Jensen in Hancock. George owned Jensen Electric in Hancock, which Irene was very supportive in. George and Irene had three children. A daughter who passed away shortly after birth and Karl "Mick" and Robert "Bob".
Irene died on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Elim Care Center in Fargo, North Dakota, having lived to reach the age of 98 years.
Irene is survived by one son: Robert "Bob" (Diana) Jensen of Detroit Lakes; daughter-in-law: Carole Jensen of Moorhead; four grandchildren: Karleen (Doug) Mjolsness of Glyndon, Cris Jensen of West Fargo, ND, Julie Jensen of Detroit Lakes and Kathy (Kyle) Freier of Oxbow, ND and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant daughter and one son: Karl "Mick".
Pallbearers for the service are: Doug Mjolsness, Ethan Mjolsness, Derek Krause, Dale Pederson, Joe DeVita and Kip Jensen. Erika Mjolsness and Emily Mjolsness will provide special music for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
