Memorial services for James Trumbull of Morris, MN will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Reverend Dell Sanderson will be officiating.
James Dodds Trumbull, son of John and Marion (Robinson) Trumbull, was born October 19, 1949 in Pompano Beach, Florida where he grew up and attended school. Following his high school graduation, Jim attended college for two years in Pompano before moving to Bloomington, Minnesota in 1970, where he continued his schooling at the College of Art and Design in Minneapolis. Jim married Sharon Straight September 16, 1972. To this union, one daughter was born. The family continued to live in Minneapolis, where Jim worked as a cable specialist. In August of 1987, the family moved to Richmond, Virginia where he continued to work for the cable company. The family made their home in Morris in December of 2000, where he continued to live until the time of his death.
James was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing, playing catch with his grandchildren, listening to blues music and spending time with friends and family.
James passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at West Wind Village in Morris. He lived to reach the age of 64 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Trumbull (boyfriend, Doug Grapevine) of Morris; two grandchildren, Sabastian Sprouse of Willmar and Dalton Trumbull of Morris; one brother, Stephen Trumbull of Raleigh, NC and his ex-wife, Sharon Trumbull of Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and one brother, Horace Trumbull.
