Memorial services for Jane Jost of Morris, MN will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris.
Jane Jost, daughter of Dean Hagedon and Anita Larson, was born in Washington, Iowa on January 24, 1962. She grew up in Minnetonka, MN. Jane graduated from New Ulm High School in 1980. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota, Morris, graduating in 1984. Following her schooling, Jane began teaching at Chokio-Alberta Schools, where she taught for the next 17 years. On March 16, 1985, she was united in marriage to Jerry Jost at Federated Church in Morris. In 2007, Jane went back to school at Argosy University, graduating in 2010. She then began working at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Jane was a very active member of the Stevens County Humane Society. She enjoyed hiking, paddle boarding and caring for many cats and kittens.
Jane died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home in rural Morris. She lived to 54 years.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Jost of Morris; daughter: Joelle Jost (Erik Stoeckeler) of St. Paul; son: Jeremy Jost (Katie Wutchiett) of San Francisco, CA; grandson: Elijah Jost Stoeckeler; step-mother: Pam Hagedon of Brainerd; mother-in-law: Betty Jost of Morris; siblings: Linda Anderson of Morris, Kathy (David) Kulich of Minnetonka, Jim (Jeannine) Hagedon of Austin, Carrie Lee of Brainerd and Megan Hagedon of Chandler, AZ; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Stevens County Humane Society. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
