Memorial services for Jean Wilson of North Oaks, MN, formerly of Starbuck, MN will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be a private family service in Fron Lutheran Cemetery, near Starbuck.

Jean Wilson, age 90, passed away on May 11, 2014 at Clare Bridge in North Oaks, Minnesota.

Jean Margaret Dramdahl was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on April 13, 1924 to Frank and Johanna Dramdahl. She was raised and educated near St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, where she graduated from high school in 1942. She worked at 1st National Bank in St. Paul during World War II and married her high school sweetheart, Sanford (Sandy) Wilson on September 7, 1946. They lived in Ames, Iowa while Sandy finished veterinary school. In 1950 they moved to Starbuck, Minnesota, where Sandy began his veterinary practice. Jean was an active member of the Starbuck community and Fron Lutheran Church. She was an excellent cook, pianist, and seamstress and she enjoyed playing bridge, golf, hosting family and friends at their home, and ballroom dancing. Jean and Sandy raised three children – Joanna, Kristine and Steven.

Jean is survived by her daughters – Joanna (Harry) Miller, Bismarck, North Dakota, Kristine (Alan) Heaton, Shoreview, Minnesota, and son, Steven, Beldenville, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Farall Canning, Phoenix, Arizona.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Sandy, in 1997, her parents, and one sister, Grace Schlegel.

Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
