Funeral services for Jeanne Lundell of Starbuck, MN will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Minister Minette Stalheim Johnson will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Fron Lutheran Cemetery near Starbuck.

Jeanne Marie Anderson, daughter of Charles and Margaret (Helena) Anderson, was born April 26, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was baptized July 17, 1926 and confirmed June 25, 1939 in Howard Lake Minnesota. Jeanne grew up and attended school in Howard Lake graduating from Howard Lake High School in 1943. Following her schooling, she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked various jobs. She was united in marriage to Russell Lundell August 16, 1947 in Howard Lake. The couple made their home in Minneapolis, where she worked at Carter Day Company. They were blessed with two children Ross and Jodi. In 1970, the family moved to Starbuck, where Jeanne worked as a cook for Lutheran Services for over 15 years. Russell passed away August 12, 2007. Jeanne continued to live in Starbuck, before moving to Plymouth, MN in 2013 to be closer to her daughter.

She was a very active member of Fron Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and led the bible choir. She was also a Girl Scout leader and volunteering where help was needed. She enjoyed quilting, watching her children's activities, camping, reading, gardening and traveling with her family. She was known for her baking, lemon bars and rhubarb pie, her specialty. Family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren.

Jeanne passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Clare Bridge of Plymouth in Plymouth, Minnesota. She was 89 years old. Special thank you to the staff of Clare Bridge and the staff at North Memorial Hospice Care.

She is survived by her son, Ross (Heather Berghorst) Lundell of Alexandria; daughter, Jodi (Steve) Melsness of Plymouth; brother, Ronald "Bud" (Vi) Anderson of Maple Grove; sister, Gloria Boxell of Crystal; two granddaughters, Sophia Jeanne and Emme Marie Melsness and several nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Leon Anderson and nephew, Thomas Boxell..
