Memorial services for Jeffrey Lang of Palm Harbor, Florida will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Reverend Paul Johnson will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Jeffrey Curtis Lang, son of Curtis and Jill (Rust) Lang was born on December 22, 1964 in Forest Lake, Minnesota. He was baptized in Fridley, Minnesota. In 1970 the family moved to Circle Pines, Minnesota where he attended Lovell Elementary School and Centennial High School. When Jeff was growing up, he enjoyed spending time with his cousins on grandpa and grandma Lang's farm and with his grandma and grandpa Rust in the Cyrus area. Jeff also liked being with his cousin Craig and aunt Sheliah and looked up to his uncle Randy as a "big brother". In 1985, Jeff married Pamela Osterhues to which one son Michael was born. Jeff later moved to Florida and married Lisa Champ in 2004. While living in Florida, he worked as a chef in the Palm Harbor area where he continued to live until the time of his death.
Jeff enjoyed vacationing to Oregon with his dad, his son Michael and his grandma and grandpa Lang. He especially liked cooking and watching NASCAR races.
Jeff died on Thursday, March 6th, 2014 at his home in Palm Harbor, Florida. He lived to reach the age of 49 years.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Christa) Lang of Blaine and Dana Lang of Minneapolis; father, Curtis Lang (special friend, Lisa Anderson) of Starbuck; wife, Lisa Chapman-Lang of Pinellas Park, FL; grandmother, Marcella Lang of Starbuck and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jill Rust Lang; his grandparents, Millard Lang and Fred and Francis Rust and his uncle Eugene Christianson.
Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
