The memorial service for Jermaine P. Olson, of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, with Reverend Paul Erdahl officiating. Visitation will be on Friday one hour prior to the service at the Pedersen Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Langford Hillside Cemetery, Langford, South Dakota.
Jermaine Pauline Olson, daughter of Martin and Caroline (Rygg) Olson was born on December 22, 1925 in Langford, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Langford Lutheran Church. Jermaine grew up on the family farm near Langford graduating from high school in Langford. She moved to Enderlin, North Dakota where she worked as a church secretary, before moving to Morris, Minnesota. While living in Morris, Jermaine did private home care and worked at DeToy's Restaurant before retiring. Jermaine continued to live in Morris and in 2012 became a resident at the Courage Cottage.
She enjoyed sewing, working puzzles, birds and collecting pictures of family members.
Jermaine died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Courage Cottage in Morris. She was 88 years old.
She is survived by one brother, Owen Olson, Langford, SD, one sister, Vella Hougen, Larimore, ND; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Olson and Sheila Olson and several nieces and nephews. Jermaine was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Martin Jr. and Charles and one brother-in-law, James Hougen.
