Joyce L. Kramer

Funeral services for Joyce Kramer of Morris, MN will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris, with Reverend Matthew Orendorff officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris.

Joyce Lorraine Lange, daughter of Roland and Cora (Wilson) Lange, was born June 17, 1933 in Chokio, Minnesota. Joyce was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Donnelly, MN. She attended grade school in Donnelly and high school in Alberta. Joyce met her future husband, George Kramer at a dance in Herman. The couple was married on August 5, 1950 by Reverend Larson at First Lutheran Church in Morris. After their marriage, they made their home in Herman, and began their family. In 1960, the family moved to Morris. Joyce stayed home and raised her family, and later began working at Juergensen Supervalu in the Bakery, then Willie’s Supervalu in the Bakery and finally Casey’s in the Bakery. Joyce loved her baking and was most known for her rice crispy bars!

Joyce was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, a Gold Star Sister and sat on the boards of The Eagle’s and the American Legion. Joyce enjoyed spending her time putting puzzles together, embroidering, and flower gardening. She also enjoyed watching the MN Twins and MN Vikings. She went all out on Halloween, dressing up every year – so completely that no one would recognize her. Most importantly, Joyce cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren. Joyce instilled a hard work ethic in her children, teaching them to always go the extra mile, work hard and expect nothing in return, and to give your all in all you do.

Joyce died peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at West Wind Village in Morris; she was 91 years old.

She is survived by her children: Betty (Howard) Anderson of Morris, Richard Kramer of Parkman, WY, Ronald (Anita) Kramer of Morris, Randall Kramer of Morris, Ray (Naomi Lundin) Kramer of Morris, Donna (Sam) Smith of Lakeville and Debra Kramer of Savage; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one sister: Mildred Maus of Chokio. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter: Nancy Halbe; son: Robert Kramer; her parents; three sisters: Lola Michaelson, Darlene Drewes and Emma McNeil and two brothers: Floyde and Harold Lange.

Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in care of the arrangements for Joyce.
